Events & Offers

Create event and offer posts for your Google Business Profile locations.

Google Business Profile posts now support three post types: Standard, Event, and Offer.

Post types

Standard

The default post type — a text update with an optional image. Same as before.

Event

Promote an upcoming event at your location.

  • Event title — name of the event
  • Start and end date/time — when the event takes place
  • Call-to-action button — choose from Book, Order, Shop, Learn More, Sign Up, or Call, with a link

Offer

Highlight a promotion or discount.

  • Coupon code — the code customers use to redeem the offer
  • Redemption URL — where customers go to use the offer
  • Terms and conditions — any restrictions or fine print

Creating an event or offer

  1. Open the Composer and select a Google Business Profile account
  2. Select the post type from the dropdown that appears below the account
  3. Fill in the type-specific fields (event details or offer details)
  4. Add your caption and optional image
  5. Schedule or publish
