Why this matters

Every platform you connect unlocks a new distribution channel. posterly supports 9 platforms out of the box — connecting them all takes under 10 minutes and means every piece of content you create can reach every audience you have.

Step 1: Navigate to Connect

Head to Dashboard → Connect in your sidebar. You'll see a grid of all supported platforms with their connection status.

Step 2: Connect each platform

Click the platform card to start the OAuth flow. Each platform will ask you to authorize posterly to publish on your behalf. Here's what to expect:

  • LinkedIn — Sign in and grant posting permissions. You can connect both personal profiles and company pages.
  • X / Twitter — Authorize via Twitter's OAuth. Enables text, image, and video posts.
  • Instagram — Requires a connected Facebook Page (Instagram's API works through Meta). Connect Facebook first, then link your Instagram Business or Creator account.
  • Facebook — Connect your Facebook account, then select which Page(s) to manage.
  • TikTok — Authorize your TikTok account. Videos are uploaded as drafts to your TikTok inbox for final review.
  • YouTube — Sign in with Google and grant upload permissions. Supports Shorts, standard videos, and thumbnails.
  • Threads — Connect through your Instagram account (Threads uses Meta's API).
  • Pinterest — Authorize and select which boards to pin to.
  • Google Business Profile — Connect your Google account and choose your business listing.

Step 3: Set up your brand voice

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Brand Voice and describe your brand's tone, target audience, and key topics. posterly's AI uses this when generating captions and suggesting content ideas.

Tips for a strong brand voice profile:

  • Be specific about tone (e.g., "friendly but professional, never sarcastic")
  • List 3-5 topics you regularly post about
  • Mention any phrases or hashtags you always use
  • Note any words or topics to avoid

Step 4: Upload your media

If you have existing brand assets (logos, product photos, templates), upload them to Dashboard → Media Library. Having assets ready makes content creation faster when you start using the composer.

What's next

With your accounts connected and brand voice configured, you're ready to create your first post in the unified composer.
