The unified composer
The composer is where everything comes together. Instead of logging into 9 different platforms, you write once and customize per platform — all from a single screen.
Creating your first post
- Click New Post from your dashboard or sidebar
- Select which accounts to publish to (you can pick multiple)
- Write your caption in the main editor
- Add media — images, videos, or GIFs from the built-in GIPHY picker
- Choose a date and time, or hit Publish Now
Platform-specific customization
Not every platform is the same. A LinkedIn post reads differently from a tweet. The composer lets you:
- Customize captions per platform — Click any platform tab to override the shared caption with platform-specific copy
- Respect character limits — The composer shows real-time character counts and warns you when you're over the limit
- Handle media differences — Instagram requires square or 4:5 images, TikTok needs vertical video, Pinterest loves tall pins. The composer validates your media against each platform's requirements
AI-powered captions
Click the AI Caption button to generate platform-optimized copy based on your brand voice. The AI:
- Adapts tone and length for each platform
- Suggests relevant hashtags
- Respects your brand voice settings
- Generates multiple variations to choose from
Scheduling options
- Specific date & time — Pick exactly when your post goes live
- Next available slot — Let posterly find the next open time that doesn't conflict with your existing schedule, maintaining at least a 1-hour gap between posts
- AI-suggested time — Get recommendations based on when your audience is most active
Media handling
- Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP supported. Auto-resized for each platform's requirements
- Videos: MP4 recommended. Platform limits vary (60s for Reels, 10min for YouTube Shorts, etc.)
- GIFs: Built-in GIPHY picker for quick animated content
- Carousels: Upload multiple images for Instagram and LinkedIn carousels
Draft and edit
Not ready to publish? Save as a Draft and come back later. All drafts are accessible from your dashboard and can be edited, rescheduled, or deleted at any time.
