How to Schedule Slack Posts with posterly
Connecting Slack
Click Slack on the Accounts page to open Add to Slack. Approve the posterly bot for your workspace, then pick the channels you want as destinations. Each selected channel becomes its own connected account in posterly, so you can schedule different content per channel.
Creating posts
Compose in the Composer like any other platform. Slack supports text posts up to 3,000 characters. Attach images or files (up to 10, about 10 MB each). When file upload is not available, posterly includes media URLs in the message so the content still lands in the channel.
Channels and permissions
Public channels can be joined automatically when publishing if the bot has permission. Private channels require the bot to already be a member. If a channel is archived or the bot is removed, reconnect and pick the channel again.
Best practices
Treat Slack destinations like internal or community channels: keep captions scannable, lead with the update, and put detail in the first lines. Use separate connected channels for announcements, product updates, and campaign rooms so the calendar stays clear.
