Agency Content Plans

The content plan should not live outside your scheduler

Replace PDFs, spreadsheets, and scattered feedback with one live plan connected to the posts that will actually publish.

Included with Agency. Clients review through a secure email-verified page and do not need a posterly account or paid seat.

Inside your agency workspace

Four ways to work on the same month

Change the view, not the underlying plan. Captions, media, dates, accounts, and review state stay attached to the same real posts.

List

Edit each slot, inspect captions, see per-platform approval states, and act on one post.

Grid

Drag slots to swap dates while locked work remains protected from accidental moves.

Feed preview

See drafted media newest-first in the same visual order available to the client.

Calendar

Inspect the month in the client timezone, including honest placeholders for empty slots.

What your client receives

A review workspace, not a static export

The client sees the same posts, media, caption variants, schedule, and unfinished gaps your team is working with.

Posts

One post per slide with the media, caption variants, schedule, and response controls together.

Grid

A three-column feed preview for Instagram and TikTok content, with unfinished slots separated below.

Calendar

The full month with thumbnails, times, platforms, review status, and planned gaps.

Stories

A dedicated review gallery for story images and videos, available when the plan contains stories.

Built into the workflow

The details that make it operational

Content Plans are more than a calendar and a share link. The feature protects prior decisions, incomplete work, scheduled posts, shared creative, and the client review session itself.

SLOTS

Plan before every caption exists

Create empty deliverable slots with a title, date, content pillar, and format. The action changes from Draft post to Add media to Edit post as the work becomes complete.

CHANNELS

Set direction without restricting the composer

Plan-level channels preselect the right client accounts when drafting. They guide the month, while slot-level account choices remain the final source of truth.

REORDER

Move the month without breaking scheduled work

Drag one grid slot onto another to swap dates. Scheduled posts move with their slots; drafts keep their own date, and review-locked or published work cannot be disturbed.

RESEND

Resend only what genuinely needs another look

Previously approved, unchanged posts stay approved. Revised posts reopen, and one reworked post can go back to the client without resetting the rest of the plan.

SUMMARY

One review summary instead of notification noise

Individual decisions save as the client works. Submit review sends your team one summary of approvals, changes, story decisions, and the client’s overall note.

STORIES

Review and schedule stories in the same plan

Approved story assets can become real Instagram and Facebook story posts. Choose accounts and times, or use a manual reminder when API-only publishing cannot reproduce the brief.

SAFETY

Archive safely; delete only when nothing is attached

A plan in review cannot be archived mid-session. Linked posts and story assets block deletion, preventing a plan from disappearing while its work still exists or is scheduled.

STATUS

See the real state of every plan

Filter by brand or status, then track planned, drafted, approved, and awaiting-review totals on every plan card and across the current view.

Review rules stay explicit

Every client action has one clear consequence

Nothing publishes because a button sounded positive. Posterly applies the decision to the correct axis and keeps the publish gate visible.

Approve

Signs off the asset and caption together, or one axis at a time when a more precise decision is needed.

The post can publish only when every required axis is approved.

Request changes

Returns the open asset or caption to the team with the client’s note attached to that post.

The affected post remains blocked until the revised version is approved.

Reject

Pulls the post from the schedule and returns it to the team as a draft.

Rejecting a shared asset also protects sibling posts using that creative.

Comment

Adds feedback without changing an approval decision or the review baseline.

Nothing is scheduled, unscheduled, approved, or rejected.

Submit review

Sends your team one consolidated summary. It does not approve anything the client left undecided.

Approve all remaining

Approves only posts still waiting. It never reverses a rejection or a request for changes.

Plan lifecycle

A status that matches what is happening

The plan moves with the work, from an internal draft through client review and approval, without hiding completed or archived history.

Content Plans questions

The practical details agencies and clients need before moving the monthly plan into posterly.

Which posterly plan includes Content Plans?

Content Plans are included with the Agency plan. Agency supports up to 30 client groups, 100 connected social accounts, and 10 workspace seats.

Does my client need a posterly account?

No. The reviewer opens a secure link from their email and verifies their address. They can review the plan, approve posts, request changes, reject, and comment without joining your workspace or taking a paid seat.

Is a Content Plan just a presentation?

No. Every filled plan slot connects to a real posterly post with its caption, media, target accounts, and publishing time. Only individually approved posts can pass the publishing gate.

Do I have to finish every post before sending the plan?

No. The review page reports exactly how many slots are filled and shows unfinished slots as placeholders. The client can review the completed work without being misled about what is still coming.

How can clients view the plan?

Clients can switch between Posts, a visual feed Grid, and a Calendar in their own timezone. Plans with story assets also include a dedicated Stories view.

What happens when I resend a plan?

Unchanged approved posts are skipped and keep their approval. Revised, rejected, or changes-requested work reopens as needed, while any asset or caption axis already approved is preserved when it is still valid.

Does approving the entire plan publish every post?

No. Whole-plan sign-off records approval of the overall direction, but only posts individually approved by the client can publish. Submit review also does not approve undecided posts; it sends your team one summary of the decisions already made.

Can Content Plans include Stories?

Yes. Add image or video stories for review, then schedule approved assets to eligible Instagram and Facebook accounts. Manual-story mode sends reminders for elements such as link stickers and polls that social APIs cannot publish directly.
