How Much Money Do You Get on TikTok for 1 Million Views?

TikTok does not publish what it pays per view, so there is no official answer for 1 million views. Two independent outside guides estimate that the Creator Rewards Program pays roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, which works out to about $400 to $1,000 for 1 million qualified views. Those are estimates, TikTok's own terms say rewards can vary, and many videos do not qualify at all.

For a quick model of your own numbers, use the TikTok money calculator. The rest of this page covers what you have to meet before a view earns anything.

The program that pays for views

TikTok pays creators for views through the Creator Rewards Program. TikTok's newsroom announcement says creators must be at least 18 years old, have at least 10,000 followers and at least 100,000 views in the last 30 days, and hold a personal account in good standing where the program is available. It rewards content "that is over a minute long." Videos under a minute do not earn from this program.

TikTok's US program terms add that eligible videos must be at least 1 minute long and public, that the creator needs at least 10,000 authentic followers and 100,000 authentic video views in the last 30 days, and that rewards are not paid until the balance reaches a minimum payment threshold of $50.00 USD.

Why there is no fixed rate

TikTok's announcement says rewards use a formula built on four core metrics: originality, play duration, search value and audience engagement. It also says ad value is factored in automatically. It does not publish weights or a dollar figure.

The terms confirm it is discretionary. They say TikTok may reward creators "based on their contributions and the popularity of their Eligible Videos," that TikTok has sole discretion over how metrics are calculated, and that it reserves the right to impose a monthly or annual cap on a creator's available rewards.

Only qualified views count, and total views do not. TikTok's program terms (EEA version) define qualified views as views a user watches for five seconds or more. A view does not count if the viewer marked the video "not interested," views from the same user account count as one, and views can be excluded if it would not be reasonable or fair to treat them as qualified. Terms can differ by region, and the program is not available everywhere.

What outside guides estimate

SourceEstimateNotes
Metricool$0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 views; $400 to $1,000 per 1 millionMarketing blog; no methodology given; dated March 2025
PostFast$0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified viewsSays the rate depends on region, niche and engagement; no source given

Both are rough, neither comes from TikTok, and both could be out of date. Treat them as a ceiling for planning, not a forecast.

Worked example

If a video with 1,000,000 qualified views earned at the estimated range:

  • At $0.40 per 1,000 qualified views: about $400
  • At $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views: about $1,000

If only half of those views were qualified, the number halves. If the video is shorter than a minute, the Creator Rewards Program does not apply. This is just arithmetic on a third-party estimate.

What 1 million views can mean beyond the payout

A viral video's value often sits outside the platform payout, such as new followers, sponsor interest or traffic to your own products. Those depend on your situation and cannot be estimated from view counts alone. If you want to build the habit that creates breakout videos, the TikTok platform guide covers formats and posting rhythm, and why a TikTok may not be getting views covers the basics of reach.

FAQ

How much does TikTok pay for 1 million views?
