MCP changes what an entry price means. Some schedulers list agent access inside the plan. Others sell it as a separate line. This study compares five-account and ten-account monthly totals where MCP is included, a paid add-on, or still verify. Research notes: 15 September 2026. Re-open every source before publish.

The short answer

RosterPosterly schedulingPosterly + MCPSchedulin CreatorPostEverywhereBuffer Essentials
5 accounts$7$10 ($7 + $3)$10$19$25
10 accounts$15$18 ($15 + $3)$10$29$50

Posterly keeps scheduling on pricing and sells the MCP server as a clear add-on. Schedulin and PostEverywhere list MCP as included in the snapshot. Buffer's agent entitlement is verify. For wider all-in cost context (not MCP treatment), see cheapest social media scheduler 2026. Related pack pages: platform breadth versus price and agency seat and client maths.

What counts as MCP included?

We use four states. Do not collapse them into a single "has MCP" flag.

  1. Included: public plan copy lists MCP (or equivalent agent server) inside the monthly price.
  2. Paid add-on: base scheduling is sold separately; MCP has a published surcharge.
  3. Entitlement not confirmed: marketing or peer notes mention agents, but plan gates are unclear. Mark verify.
  4. Endpoint or claim only: an MCP URL or tool-count claim exists without enough plan detail. Mark verify; do not invent a fee.

An MCP label is not a tool-depth score. Bulk limits, rate limits, authentication, media handling, and plan gates sit in a separate column.

Methodology

  • Monthly public list prices from notes dated 15 September 2026. Re-open every vendor page before publication.
  • Five-account and ten-account rosters using each vendor's own unit (account, profile, channel).
  • Show scheduling-only and agent-enabled totals. If no MCP or API fee is public, write verify. Never invent a surcharge.
  • Keep USD and EUR as published. Do not convert Schedchie without a dated FX rule.
  • This page measures public pricing and documentation, not reliability, engagement, or publishing success.
  • No Autopilot, set-and-forget, ARR, traffic, or ranking claims.

Verify-before-publish: confirm Posterly $7 / $15 / $25 / $49 and +$3 / +$3 / +$5 / +$29 MCP add-ons; Buffer Essentials $5 and Team $10 per channel; PostEverywhere $9 / $19 / $29 / $39 and included-MCP wording; Schedulin $5 / $10 / $20, caps, and included-MCP wording; recalculate every total; keep table, chart, and citation aligned.

Tool depth and limits

Vendor claims from the same notes (all verify on live pages):

VendorClaimed tools (notes)Access model in snapshot
Posterly87 hosted HTTP; 90 stdio packagePaid add-on on MCP
PostEverywhere38 tools claimedIncluded on researched plans
SociaHive40+ tools claimedEntitlement verify; automation-led product

Included MCP does not establish identical tool depth, rate limits, media handling, or plan access. Compare the PostEverywhere vs Posterly page when tool surface matters as much as price. API detail also lives on integrations/api.

Which pricing model fits?

Included MCP suits buyers who want one line item and simpler procurement. Schedulin's Creator at $10 for 12 accounts, and PostEverywhere's Starter $19 / Growth $29, fit that pattern in the snapshot.

Lower base + add-on suits buyers who may not need agents yet. Posterly Starter at $7 and Pro at $15 keep scheduling cheap; the $3 MCP add-on lands all-in at $10 and $18. The Agency MCP add-on is recorded as $29 (Power +$5), which is a different budget line than Starter or Pro.

Posterly is not always the lowest headline. Schedulin's $5 three-account Starter remains the aggressive counterexample. This study owns MCP treatment; the cheapest scheduler guide owns broad all-in cost intent.

Frequently asked questions

Is MCP included in Posterly base plans?+
No. In the research notes MCP is a paid add-on: +$3 on Starter and Pro, +$5 on Power, +$29 on Agency. See pricing and the posterly MCP server page.
Which schedulers list MCP as included?+
In the 15 September 2026 snapshot, Schedulin and PostEverywhere list MCP as included on the researched plans. Buffer, SociaHive plan entitlement, Metricool OAuth versus API, and Schedchie entitlement remain verify.
Is included MCP automatically better?+
No. Included simplifies the bill. It does not prove identical tools, limits, media handling, or network coverage. Compare depth separately.
What does Posterly cost with MCP at five and ten accounts?+
$10/mo at five accounts (Starter $7 + $3). $18/mo at ten accounts (Pro $15 + $3; Pro covers 12 accounts).
Can an endpoint claim be compared with a full tool catalogue?+
Not as equals. An MCP URL without plan gates, tool lists, and limits stays in the endpoint or claim only bucket until verified.
